Simulating Correlated Shadowing in Mobile Multihop Relay/Ad-hoc Networks

چکیده
This document investigates the joint spatial correlation property of the shadowing process for peer-to-peer radio links (mobile-to-mobile) in urban environments. A sum-of-sinusoids (SOS) based simulation model is proposed to generate the joint correlation shadowing process for system level simulations involving mobile multihop relay/ad-hoc networks. Mobile Ad Hoc Networks
A mobile ad hoc network is a collection of digital data terminals equipped with wireless transceivers that can communicate with one another without using any fixed networking infrastructure. Communication is maintained by the transmission of data packets over a common wireless channel. The absence of any fixed infrastructure, such as an array of base stations, make ad hoc networks radically dif...
متن کاملMulti-Objective Cross-Layer Optimization with Pareto Method for Relay Selection in Multihop Wireless Ad hoc Networks
The focus of this paper is cross layer optimization of relay selection on multihop wireless ad hoc networks. Cross-layer metrics that will be optimized are power consumption, throughput, and load balancing in wireless ad hoc networks for the outdoor and indoor configurations. Those three resources (performance indicators) are optimized using the multi objective optimization with Pareto method. ...
متن کاملA scalable workbench for implementing and evaluating distributed applications in mobile ad-hoc networks
This work presents a Java-based development platform aimed to ease the task of building applications for mobile multihop ad-hoc networks. The platform follows a threetier development principle composed of simulation, emulation and deployment on real mobile devices. Opposed to pure network simulators, this development environment primarily focuses on an easy to use event-based programming model ...
